Layer Cake patterns

This pattern uses Fig Tree Quilts fabric called Fig and Plum It is a great pattern for a layer cake.

This uses Gypsy Rose another Fig Tree fabric range.

What is a layer cake,?
It is 40 squares of fabric of a particular range.
The squares are 10 inches by 10inches,and can be cut in a number of ways.
The two quilts above use the layer cake square cut into 4 x 5 inch squares
It is a good way to buy a whole range of fabrics,and use them together.
The only downside if that often patterns only use a sub-set of the range and in this case you will need a few fat quarters to complete the pattern.
